Did you know that Malta had its very own colonial empire?
Through history, Malta was colonised. For a period in the 17th century, however, Malta was at the centre of a tiny empire, rather than at the periphery.
Malta’s very own colonial holdings lay in the Caribbean, and the mark of that period is still there today. Prof. William Zammit will be holding a talk on his book written with Dr Thomas Freller on the subject, Knights Buccaneers and Sugar Cane, in collaboration with FAA. Join us and discover what it was like when Malta had an empire.
