5-8 April 2018
Registration Open
Venue: Mount St. Joseph, Mosta (Malta)
organised by the Faraday Institute, Cambridge, UK in collaboration with the University of Malta
(The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion is an interdisciplinary research enterprise based at St Edmund's College, Cambridge.)
The Course is open to persons coming from any disciplinary background. The big questions that this Course addresses are perennial ones. Does science tell us all we need to know about the world? What philosophical and theological questions does scientific progress raise? How have science and religion interacted in the past and how do they do so today? What are the ethical issues arising from new scientific and technological discoveries?
There will be plenty of top scientists and academics, both from foreign institutions and the University of Malta, on this Programme. All speakers are being encouraged to make their talks accessible to all.
Come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Mount St Joseph and the nurturing lectures and discussions while you grapple with these and other questions in the dialogue between science and religion.
There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. Once the Course is over, delegates go away with a new network of friends and contacts in the science and religion field.
We hope that this will be the first step towards further discussion and interaction between science and religion.
