The Department of Theatre Studies will be hosting the fourth edition of The S Word Stanislavsky Symposium in collaboration with the Stanislavsky Research Centre of the University of Leeds. This is an international event which regularly brings together scholars and practitioners invested in the study and transmission of the Stanislavsky Acting Tradition. Past editions were held in Sidcup (UK), Prague, and California. The Malta edition, co-convened by Dr Stefan Aquilina and Prof. Paul Fryer, will be held as follows:
- Dates: 5, 6, 7 April
- Venue: University of Malta, Valletta Campus
The Symposium will open on the evening of 5 April with a keynote speech by eminent Stanislavsky scholar Prof. Laurence Senelick of Tufts University (US). Some 35 presenters are featured in the programme, and they include:

- Stéphane Poliakov, University of Paris 8
- Martina Musilová, AMU Theatre Faculty, Prague

- Robin Levenson, La Guardia Community College, City University of New York
- Vladimir Mirodan, University of the Arts, London
- Michaela Antoniou, National and Kapodistrian University, Athens
