The National STEM Engagement Conference will be held on Friday 3 May at Chaplain’s Hall, Esplora Interactive Science Centre, Kalkara.
The current shortfalls of STEM skilled workers coupled with the fact that new STEM roles are expected to increase in the next 10 years will result in missed opportunities and a broader skills gap. These missed opportunities might also impact Malta’s ever-growing economic sector. The Malta Council for Science & Technology, the University of Malta and the Malta College of Arts Science & Technology, in close liaison with various other stakeholders, have embarked on a tripartite national approach in relation to STEM engagement. The NSEC conference will kick-start this push towards a national and holistic approach to bridging the skills gap in STEM.
