Sitting on the next great business idea? Here’s an opportunity to turn it into reality.
The TAKEOFF Seed Fund Award, a joint initiative between the Ministry for the Economy, Industry & Small Business (MEIB) and the University of Malta supported by the Knowledge Transfer Office, Centre for Entrepreneurship & Business Incubation & the TAKEOFF Business Incubator, is allocating €100,000 towards the funding of business & research ideas.
Two types of initiatives are being considered: UM academic staff may apply for ‘Proof of Concept’ funds to take an innovation developed through research to the next step, and entrepreneurs may apply for Seed funds which will being their knowledge-based start-up a step closer to the first customer.
All applicants must attend the relevant online workshop to be held on Monday 11 May 2020 at 14:00. Register online.

Live pitching of the shortlisted ideas will be presented to judges in June 2020.
