On Friday 2 December, the University of Malta will be hosting around 900 Year 8 students from 14 different secondary schools (church, independent and state schools).
Twelve-year old students will be attending the first ever Unconventional Science Careers day #STEAM@UM. They will get to experience engaging and hands-on activities on various science topics and research.
The event will run from 09:00 to 13:00, and during the day the secondary school students will be touring various STEM faculties.
The faculties involved are:
- Faculty for the Built Environment
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Health Sciences
- Faculty of Information & Communication Technology, and
- Faculty of Science ( with its Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Geosciences, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics).
Activities will include laboratory tours, demonstrations, games and much more.
