The Gender Equality & Sexual Diversity Committee (GESDC) is organising a Mutual Learning workshop to discuss Gender Equality Plans (GEP) being implemented in Malta based higher education and research organisations. Hon. Ms Rebecca Buttigieg, the Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms and Equality will be addressing the workshop and initiate the exchange of ideas.

This event will take place on Tuesday 28 March 2023 from 09:00 to 12:00 at the University of Malta Junior College. GESDC has reached out to entities which have a Gender Equality Plan and other relevant stakeholders so that we can share what each entity is doing and the decisions taken to focus on certain areas. During the round-table workshop, the participants will be invited to share and discuss issues encountered in the design and implementation of the GEP. The objective is ultimately to share our experiences, and learn from each other. GESDC will also illustrate the main objectives of the Gender Equality Programme in Academia - Raising Diversity (GEPARD) project that may help entities and higher education institutions to design their own GEP.
