Programme of Events
World Creativity and Innovation Week (WCIW) is celebrated globally from April 15 to 21 each year. The Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation at the University of Malta annually participates in the WCIW celebrations, often collaborating with various organisations. WCIW has been recognised yearly for the past two decades, growing in participation across numerous countries. Its purpose is to promote new ideas and cultivate an environment that supports creativity and innovation.
In 2018, the United Nations acknowledged April 21 as World Creativity and Innovation Day, marking it as a 'Day of Observance.' This was done to motivate people to apply creative solutions to problems, particularly those hindering the achievement of the 2015 Sustainable Development Goals. Within this context, Dr Margaret Mangion is the ambassador for WCIW/D in Malta. She organises a series of events to mark this week annually.
The full programme of events is available online.
