Taking place on 26 and 27 March, these events will bring together leading voices in XR (Extended Reality) and game-based historical storytelling, offering unique perspectives on the intersection of technology, culture, and interactive media.
- 1. 26 March, 2025 – Guest Lecture with Rob Morgan (XR & Immersive Storytelling)
We welcome Rob Morgan, an award-winning writer, experience designer, and digital dramaturge specialising in XR narratives to the IDG. As the Creative Director of Playlines, Rob has developed ground-breaking augmented reality theatre and VR experiences for various audiences. His acclaimed VR game A Fisherman’s Tale won VR Game of the Year in 2019, and his work on XR masterclasses has guided global brands like Coca-Cola and Nike.
In this guest lecture, Rob will explore how immersive storytelling in XR is shaping the future of digital narratives, offering insights into game design, theatre, and interactive media.

- 2. 27 March 2025 – Talk with We Are Müesli (Games, History & Collective Memory – In Italian)
Following Rob Morgan’s session, IDG is collaborating with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di La Valletta to host We Are Müesli, an innovative Italian design studio that creates games, video games, and escape rooms to immerse audiences in history and collective memory.
This talk (conducted in Italian) will explore how interactive experiences can transform storytelling, preserve cultural heritage, and engage audiences in new and meaningful ways. Whether you're a game designer, historian, or simply fascinated by the power of play, this event will offer valuable insights into the role of games in shaping our understanding of the past.
