The Institute for European Studies will be organising an afternoon conference entitled 'EU Trade Policy and Sustainability: Changing the Goalposts?'. The event will be held on Wednesday 9 April at 14:00 (Dar l-Ewropa/Europe House, 254, Triq San Pawl Valletta).
The conference takes stock on EU Trade Policy and Sustainability and brings together experts from academia, the European Commission, the government and the Maltese business community to assess current developments and discuss critical issues. The main speaker is Prof. Lars Nilsson who works at the Trade Analysis and Evaluation Unit at the European Commission's Directorate General for Trade and is an active and well-published trade policy scholar. The conference is integrated into the Institute for European Studies' curriculum and open to (all) students, academics, and the public inviting anyone that is interested in an up-to-date account and discussion of the EU's trade policy stand.
