This session will serve as a brief introduction to the Python programming language. Python is a versatile, beginner-friendly programming language renowned for its readability and extensive community support. Python's versatility is evident in various domains, such as web development, data science (including analysis and machine learning), and scientific computing. Additionally, Python is widely popular for its utility in automating tasks and scripting. While the completion of this course will not make you a proficient programmer, it will certainly provide a solid foundation to kick-start your journey in programming.

Professor Matthew Montebello is a full professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of ICT, University of Malta. He leads the Agent Technology Research Group and also coordinates various Interest Groups across the faculty. His research encompasses a range of interests, notably focusing on AI in Education, Agent Technology, Intelligent Drones, Web Intelligence, and Smart Apps.
