English second-year A Level student, Krista Spiteri, placed second in the competition What does democracy mean to me? organised by civil society movement Repubblika, for the fourth consecutive year, for all secondary and post-secondary schools in Malta.
A specially set-up jury chose the finalists who exhibited their work in the “Democracy Evening” held on 18 September 2024.
This year's theme was "I care", which was the slogan of Don Lorenzo Milani who founded the Barbiana school in Tuscany.
