The Department of Foreign Languages within the Junior College submitted a short film entitled ‘Breaking Barriers’ for the Living Languages Campaign competition organised by the Ministry for Education and Employment for the promotion of foreign languages. The film entry won in the post-Secondary Schools Category. The team of lecturers and students has worked hard on storyboarding, filming, editing and training. In preparation for this event, the department had hosted a training session on videography by veteran cameraman and tv director Mr Paul Galea. The award ceremony took place on the 30 October 2019. The overall winner of the competition was the other short film entitled ‘The Unknown Language’, submitted by St Michael’s School. Congratulations to all those involved!
