Professional users of voice, including teachers, lecturers, singers, and actors are subject to multiple factors that can affect the quality and clarity of their voice. This can obviously impact their professional performance at work. The lecture will highlight these problems and offer simple ways of how a vocal professional can protect his/ her voice.
Dr LaPira is an ENT Specialist and an Audiological Physician. He is a senior lecturer in Voice and ENT disorders at the University of Malta’s Medical School. He is also an adjunct professor at Florida’s Nova SouthEastern University’s Audiology Doctoral Program. His special interests focus on vocal disorders and audiovestibular dysfunctions. He is also a Board Member of the TINNET Steering Group that recently authored the European Guidelines on the Management of Tinnitus.
