The first session of the 2017 Ph.D. Summer School on Integrated Product Development was recently held in Malta.
This summer school is aimed at researchers interested in understanding and researching the inter-relationships between design, manufacturing and business issues, and complex aspects involved in the life cycle of products and services.
This year’s session was attended by researchers coming from China, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy and Tunisia.
The candidates were addressed by local lecturers including Dr Philip Farrugia and Dr Emmanuel Francalanza from the University of Malta’s Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering.
The summer school was hosted in Malta by Prof. Jonathan C. Borg and is jointly organised together with Otto-von-Guericke University and Universitat der Bundeswehr Munchen, both of Germany.
