The Master of Arts in Ageing and Dementia Studies was planned and developed to provide students with an in-depth, research-based knowledge of dementia, including theory, policy issues, innovative and best practices in dementia care, as well as a grounding in academic and research skills. Therefore, promising to act as a catalyst for candidates' professional development with regards the meeting of needs of both present and incoming cohorts of older persons with dementia.
The Master of Arts in Ageing and Dementia Studies makes a valuable contribution to the interdisciplinary development of dementia care knowledge, research and practice. It is designed in a way to promote collaboration between the disciplines of nursing, medicine, occupational therapy, social work and other professionals working with persons with dementia and their carers.
This course is being offered as a part-time evening course, consisting of taught programme (four semesters, two evenings per week) and dissertation work (two semesters).
