The Centre for Labour Studies has once again been awarded a four-year contract (2018-2021) to act as the national contributor to the Dublin-based, European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions.
The role of the Foundation is to provide information, advice and expertise – on working conditions and sustainable work, industrial relations, labour market change and quality and life and public services – for key actors in the field of EU social policy on the basis of comparative information, research and analysis.
The Centre for Labour Studies – which is the oldest centre at the University of Malta, having been set up in 1981 – has been contributing uninterruptedly to the work of the Foundation since 2003.
