Professor Andrew Jones from the Institute for Tourism Travel and Culture (ITTC) has just completed a University Erasmus Staff Exchange visit to the University of Westminster in London.
Prof. Jones visited the Faculty of Architecture and The Built Environment to teach on the Faculty’s undergraduate and post graduate programmes in Tourism Policy and Planning. Prof. Jones delivered a series of lectures to students on units for tourism and politics addressing issues of island tourism, climate change and tourism policy.
Prof. Jones said that the visit helped build upon an already well established and successful collaboration between both universities which has seen a steady flow of staff and student exchanges between both institutions. The recent visit, he suggests, helps in consolidating exchange opportunities and building future research networks within the fields of tourism and planning. To reciprocate the University of Westminster will be sending a member of staff to Malta in Spring 2018.
