The Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture (ITTC) at UM is inviting tourism stakeholders to participate in an online survey on tourism industry needs. It seeks to identify skill and knowledge requirements.
ITTC students receive tertiary education on a wide range of subject, mostly focused on tourism but not limited to it. Apart from tourism and hospitality, many ITTC graduates are now working in related sectors of the economy including culture, heritage, museums, leisure, events, travel and aviation.
The ITTC is in the process of reviewing the tourism studies undergraduate programme, and hence the survey. As part of this process, the ITTC also organised out a focus group in which representatives of the industry discussed their expectations of tertiary education.
The ITTC is eager to improve the quality of teaching in our courses, while at the same time ensuring that they are relevant to the needs of the industry.
People who work in tourism or in a tourism-related industry are kindly invited to participate in this online survey. For more information call ITTC helpline on +356 2340 3728 or +356 2340 3748.
The survey is being coordinated by Dr Marie Avellino, Dr John Ebejer and Dr Noel Buttigieg.
