This year Dr Borg Marks was invited to visit various universities, both within and outside of the European Union, to conduct seminars for pre-service and in-service teachers, promoting ideas on mental models and modelling in Physics/Science Education.
Although research on modelling has been conducted for a number of years, it seems that not all educators know how useful modelling can be in educational research and also in making teaching and learning more meaningful.

These seminars were conducted by Dr Borg Marks at the University of Barcelona, The University of Udine, and the Ilia State University in Georgia. Questionnaires were distributed among participants with the aim of gathering data for comparison of results from the different countries. The results will be analysed and the work will be presented in related fora.
During the seminars, there was also an exchange of information on the different education systems in the various countries.
These visits by Dr Borg Marks were made possible through ERASMUS+ funding.
