Professor Sandra Buttigieg has been elected Global Representative At Large of the Health Care Management Division of the American Academy of Management (AOM).

Prof. Butigieg will be on the Executive Committee and have a leadership role. In view of her active roles within both AOM and the European Health Management Association (EHMA), Prof. Buttigieg will strive for further collaboration between US and EU scholars in the ambit of health care management. 

As an integral part of this plan, which has been recognised by both AOM and EHMA, Prof. Buttigieg was lead editor of the Advances in HCM Volume 17 (2015). This publication, entitled "International Best Practices in HCM", was the result of collaboration between academics from AOM and EHMA.

Professor Buttigieg will be attending the AOM Executive Meeting which will be held in Chicago in August this year.
