On Wednesday 31 October the inauguration of the Memorial for body donors took place at the University Chaplaincy.

The date also marked the 100th anniversary since the first body donation was officially registered at the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. 

Professor Jean Calleja Agius, Head of the Department of Anatomy, together with Professor Godfrey LaFerla, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and Professor Alfred J Vella, UM Rector, addressed the audience present before the unveiling of the memorial took place outside the Chaplaincy.
