This month, Dr Giselle Spiteri Miggiani has been invited to teach on the Audiovisual M.A. programme at the Universidad Europea in Valencia, Spain. Her seminar was intended at bridging two disciplines: Film Studies and Translation Studies.

Dr Spiteri Miggiani has recently introduced Audiovisual Translation as a new field of studies at the Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpreting studies. This October the department has launched its newly restructured M.A. in Translation and Terminology which now encompasses three specialisation areas: Literary Translation, Translation for Specific Purposes and Audiovisual Translation. The department has widened its scope to adapt to market needs and now hosts international students and a variety of language combinations.
