Between 27 and 31 May, Prof. William Zammit, Head of the Department of Library Information and Archive Sciences within the Faculty of Media & Knowledge Sciences and Dr Charles Farrugia from the same Department visited various libraries and archives in Minsk, where they had meetings to discuss a number of issues.

They had meetings with Dr Victor Kurash, overall Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management in Belarus, Andrey Demianiuk, Director, National Archives and Dr Aliaksandr Susha, Deputy Director, National Library.

Dr Farrugia and Prof. Zammit also presented papers during the international conference held in Minsk, entitled 'The Archives and Museums as Institutions of Social Memory’.

The visit was part of an Erasmus+ agreement between the two institutions.
