Professor Sandra C. Buttigieg, Head of Department of Health Services Management, Faculty of Health Sciences presented longitudinal research on Hospital Leadership – the data for which are from Malta with the title: 'Employees’ Appraisals of Organizational Change, Transformational Leadership, Engagement and Burnout', at the 79th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Management, held in August 9-13, at Boston, Massachusetts, US.
This research is being carried out in collaboration with Professor Yves Guillaume and Dr Pascale Daher from the University of Liverpool, UK, and with Professor Vincent Cassar, Deputy Dean of FEMA, University of Malta.

Professor Buttigieg was also involved as co-author of another paper 'The Personal and Professional Consequences of Physician Burnout: A Systematic Review' abstract that was presented at the Academy of Management, by the first author Professor Eric Williams from the University of Alabama, at Birmingham, US. The second co-author was Professor Cheryl Rathert from the University of Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia, US.
