Professor Sandra C. Buttigieg, Head of Department of Health Services Management, Faculty of Health Sciences co-authored a paper entitled “Technology implementation in delivery of healthcare to older people: how can the least voiced in society be heard?” published in the Journal of Enabling Technologies, 2018. The paper was selected by the editorial team as Highly Commended in the 2019 Emerald Literati Awards.

Professor Buttigieg was also awarded the 2019 Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Reviewer for the Journal of Health Organization and Management. The award was based on her contribution to the journal in 2018.

The Emerald Literati Awards are one of the largest, independent award schemes led by a publisher. The awards were established 25 years ago to celebrate and reward the outstanding contributions made by Emerald's scholarly community.
