Prof. Simon Thompson, a resident academic at the University of Kent and a researcher at IOHK, was recently invited over to UM to deliver a lecture to students undertaking a Masters in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies.
His talk, held at the Centre for Distributed Ledger Technologies, focused on the domain specific language Marlowe, a programming language specifically targeted for financial smart contracts which operate on the popular IOHK Cardono Blockchain Network.
The multidisciplinary Masters in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies enables students to specialise in legal, ICT or business and finance related aspects of blockchain, whilst also giving them an introduction to other areas of non-specialisation.
