Message from the Hon Dr Owen Bonnici, Minister for Education and Employment on International Nurses Day
“During this challenging time, we are presently facing, nurses are undoubtedly one of the main heroes of the hour. The dedication, courage and commitment being shown by our country’s nurses to face head on the COVID-19 threat to our society is truly exemplary. It is a great honour and a humbling experience to reflect on the fact that our educational system plays an important role in preparing so many youths to enter such a noble vocation. Through all the different courses the educational system has developed over the years, we hope to have given our contribution to strengthen even further the nursing profession. On the occasion of International Nurses Day, I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all nurses for the huge sacrifices they are undertaking to remain committed to their profession and to keep our country safe.”
