Vol. 9 No. 1 of the refereed journal, Postcolonial Directions in Education, published by the Faculty of Education, University of Malta, has just been produced.
The journal is edited by professors Peter Mayo and Milosh Raykov from the University of Malta, and Emeritus professor, Anne Hickling Hudson, from Queensland University of Technology.
This number consists of Part 2 of a special issue on The (De)Colonial Pedagogical Possibilities of Film and Film Festivals, guest edited by Sonia Medel and André Elias Mazawi, from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
It contains a variety of interesting research articles and book reviews on topics such as Hollywood’s Role in Standardising Knowledge, On Screen Protocols & Pathways, and Feminist Art & Media, among others.
Part 1 of the issue was published in December 2019 as Vol.8 No. 2 of the journal. The journal is published in open access and each article is anonymously reviewed by two readers. This is the only journal in postcolonial studies in education and renders the University of Malta, together with Queensland University of Technology (QUT), a leader in the field.
