The Institute for European Studies recently visited the President of the Republic, His Excellency George Vella, to present him with a copy of their latest publication, 'The Future of European Union: Demisting the Debate'. The edited volume takes a holistic approach to the debate, from the theoretical underpinnings of European integration to the institutional perspective of the different EU actors to specific policy issues and includes contributions from notable academics from Malta, Europe and Australia.

The book was originally launched in February 2020 and copies are available from the European Documentation Centre as well as online.

In the picture we see Dr Mark Harwood, Director, presenting His Excellency with the publication. Accompanying Dr Harwood were Prof. Roderick Pace and Dr Stefano Moncada who were, along with Dr Harwood, editors of the book. The delegation also included Mr Stefan Bezzina, the Documentalist of the EDC, who helped throughout the publication process.
