How do factors of our personality affect our willingness to adhere to COVID-19 measures aimed to curb the spread of the virus?
At the start of the Pandemic, an old classmate of Dr Claude Bajada asked him to help with a project. They were busy collecting behavioural data from everywhere in the world that has been affected by COVID-19, and needed data from Malta.
Dr Bajada and his University of Malta colleague helped collect data from Malta to contribute to these rich datasets, which came from over 30,000 people.
These datasets were open source, so after having helped collect this data, he had a few of his own ideas on how the data could be studied.
Dr Bajada and his team of researchers are building machine learning models to predict behaviours.
OCRE, Open Clouds for Research Environments, gave Dr Bajada the opportunity to dedicate resources on a single project with a single aim, and facilitated collaboration with other faculties.
