With April being Autism Awareness Month across the globe, and with Malta's unprecedented Draft National Strategy for Autism having recently been launched, Newspoint sought to interview Dr Alistair de Gaetano, who currently chairs the Autism Advisory Council, which was instrumental in putting this strategy together.
Dr de Gaetano, who is a former University of Malta student, has noted that much has changed for the better in terms of inclusivity arrangements at the University, and this has only been possible thanks to the work of those who have persistently advocated for it, as well as a change in mentality.
