On Friday 5 May 2023, His Excellency Mr Dávid Szesztai, Ambassador, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Hungary in Malta, presented to Professor Alfred Vella, Rector of the University of Malta, a copy of 'It-Traġedja tal-Bniedem', a drama by Imre Madách from the 19th century, which has been recently translated into the Maltese Language by Dr Karmenu Mallia and is the very first piece of Hungarian literature published in the Maltese language.

The work, which was published in Hungary by Hungaria Esperanto-Asocio, is available for consultation at the Melitensia Special Collection, Main Library.
