A science communication lecture with a difference for the students following Master of Science in Applied Oceanography and those following Bachelor of Science in Medical Biochemistry: an afternoon at Esplora.
Instead of the typical lecture room or lab, the students were hosted at Esplora, the National Science Interactive Centre, for a discussion on how to communicate science effectively. The event was coordinated by senior lecturers Dr Anthony Galea and Dr Edward Duca, and science communicators from Esplora: Des Zerafa Cini, Rebecca Buttigieg, David Caruana, Charmaine Vella Muscat and Tal Van Colen (online). It included discussions on Esplora's Content Development, public engagement, a site tour and a dedicated science show.
This event was organised thanks to a collaboration between the Department of Geosciences (Faculty of Science), the Department of Mathematics & Science Education (Faculty of Education), the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and Esplora.
