On Monday 9 May 2022 the Faculty of Education received a visit from Ms Sirje Üprus, Head of International Office, with Dr Kersti Lepajõe, the Director of the UT College of Foreign Languages and Cultures, both from Tartu University in Estonia.
They held a meeting with the Dean, Prof. Colin Calleja, the Deputy Dean Dr Michelle Attard Tonna, the Head of Department for Education Studies Dr Joseph Giordmaina, the Head of Department for Mathematics & Science Education Dr Martin Musumeci, and the Head of Department for Early Childhood and Primary Education Prof. Adrian Gellel. During this meeting, opportunities involving the mobility of students following Faculty of Education courses were discussed, together with common areas of teaching and research in which academic members of staff from both Tartu University and University of Malta can collaborate on.
The Faculty of Education would like to thank the International Office of the University of Malta, and Dr Kenneth Vella, Ambassador of Malta to Estonia and Finland, who were instrumental in setting up this meeting and facilitating this collaboration.
