Professor Paul Sant Cassia, a professor at the Department of Anthropological Sciences and a former Chair of the Mediterranean Institute gave a keynote presentation entitled, "How to do Mediterranean Anthropology today?" for the sixth Workshop of the DFG Network.

The workshop about The Mediterranean of Modernity: Global and Regional Perspectives was held at the Humboldt- Universität zu Berlin on 4 October, 2022. Prof. Sant Cassia also delivered a presentation on 6 October, 2022 at the Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient, Berlin, on The challenges posed to kinship and the family in the Mediterranean by Assisted Reproduction Technologies.
