Yesterday, 21 November 2022, the University of Malta had the pleasure to award around 1827 students with their first University degree certificates. We are very proud of each and every one of our students and we wish them the best of luck in their future careers.
The graduation ceremonies will run from 21 November to 28 November, 2022. The first ceremony was celebrated by the Faculty of Health sciences graduates. The total number of students graduating from this Faculty is 319 and a further six students will be graduating from the Diploma in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship graduates offered by the Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking. The highest number of graduates is from the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy , where 285 students will graduate on 23 & 24 November.

All ceremonies will return to the Sir Temi Zammit hall, the traditional venue for undergraduate graduations. The ceremonies will be livestreamed on the University of Malta Facebook page, Linkedin page and YouTube. More details about the graduations can be found on this programme.
This year there will be a total of 11 ceremonies. Graduands will be attending ceremonies at 14:00 and at 17:00, according to their respective course. Postgraduate graduation ceremonies for 2022 will be held in March.
During her speech, Ms Kimberly Ellul Bellia, a graduate from the Faculty of Health Sciences remarks “Dear lecturers, apart from sharing with us your outstanding knowledge on the subject, you’ve nurtured within us values that we will forever be indebted to you for, such as accountability, open-mindedness, hard work, determination, confidence, and most importantly, discipline.”
The University Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella wishes this year’s new graduates well for their future and hopes that many will consider reading for a second degree at UM!
