The Department of Public Policy within the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, University of Malta organised a study visit to EU institutions for about 40 students from the 29 November to 3 December 2022. The EU study visit 2022 focused on four main themes namely Renewable Energy resources – Green Deal, Gender and Equality, External dimension of Migration and EU Digital Action Plan 2021-2027.
The students had the opportunity to visit the EU institutions in Brussels namely the European Council, European Parliamentary Research Service, European External Action Service (EEAS), European Commission and the European Parliament (EP). Visits included the EU hemicycle, the Parliamentarium and the House of European History. One of the highlights of this study visit was a meeting with the European President Dr Roberta Metsola who welcomed our Public Policy students and explained what the EP is currently working on. The students also met some MEPs. The talks and discussions were lively with interesting questions asked by the students.
