Dr Ritienne Grima, Head of the Department of Communication Therapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences was recently welcomed by the departments of Speech & Language, and Neuropsychology during a fruitful visit to the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH)in Ireland.
The National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) provides complex specialist rehabilitation services to patients who, as a result of an accident, illness or injury, have acquired a physical or cognitive disability and require a specialist programme of rehabilitation.
The state-of-the-art facilities and services offered at the NRH were explored (on 25 November 2022). Ritienne Grima was involved in a series of meetings and clinical sessions with several members of staff who are actively involved in providing the services.
Opportunities for further research in this area and possibilities of further collaboration between the NRH and the Department of Communication Therapy will continue to be explored.
