Roberta Calace Salvemini, a PhD student carrying out research on collaborative practices in teaching and learning under the supervision of Prof. Sandro Caruana (Faculty of Education) recently coordinated an initiative involving the Istituto Comprensivo Nelson Mandela (Crema, Italy), and Tal-Ħandaq Secondary School, under the Headship of Dr Maria Montebello.
This project was an offshoot of her current doctoral research and involved a cultural exchange between the students of the two institutions, aimed at creating more awareness towards linguistic diversity, through Italian and English. News of this initiative featured on the Italian press online.
