Prof. Anna Khakee, Department of International Relations (Arts) was recently and as the first ever UM academic appointed to the International Advisory Board of the academic journal The International Spectator for the term 2024-2026.
The International Spectator is the English-language foreign policy quarterly of the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) in Rome. Now in its 58th year, the journal has been published by Routledge (Taylor & Francis, UK) since 2007; it currently is included in Q1 in the category Political Science and International Relations of Scopus Citescore.
The Istituto Affari Internazionali, in turn, is among the 20 most influential policy institutes globally in the category "Foreign Policy and International Relations", according to the Global Go To Think Tank Index 2020.
The International Spectator aims to provide academics, practitioners, opinion- and decision-makers, as well as interested laymen with thought-provoking, analytically sound, theoretically informed and policy-oriented research articles, opinion essays and book reviews on foreign policy issues. Topics cover the entire spectrum of international affairs from ongoing international politics, economics and security affairs to rising questions on the international agenda such as climate and energy, global migration and development.
