On Day 3 of the Let’s Move Malta Campaign, a week of sporting activities aimed at encouraging physical activity in different life areas, members of the University of Malta participated in the Public Service Sports Day cross country.
Ms Romina Zammit, an Administration Specialist at the Institute for Climate Change and Sustainable Development, Ms Margherita Borg Buhagiar, an Administrator II from the Department of Music Studies and Ms Jessica Sant Cilia, an Administrator II from the Department of Sociology, represented the UM community.
The initiative, which was jointly organised by the Malta Employees Sport Association and SportMalta, took place at the Marsa Sports Complex and included a variety of sports activities such as Football 7-a-side, Mixed Volleyball, Table Tennis and Cross Country Race.
Let’s Move Malta was this year launched by Dr Lydia Abela, who stressed on the unifying role of sports.
