Final year M. Architecture students at the University of Malta’s Faculty for the Built Environment visited Ljubljana recently, where they had the time to admire and learn more about the architectural style in the Slovenian capital.
The Slovenian capital has no shortage of historical buildings. The architectural wealth of Ljubljana accumulated over the years received a significant boost in the early 20th century thanks to the famous Slovenian architect, Joze Plecnik, a classicist, who tried to model the city on ancient Athens.
The visit was co-ordinated by Perit Jacques Borg Barthet together with Perit Alberto Miceli-Farrugia and Perit Joseph Galea.
