Prof. Isabelle Gatt has recently returned from a week-long visit to Charles University, Prague, where she served as a visiting lecturer under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme 2024. Her visit was marked by a series of engaging activities, significantly contributing to academic exchange and collaboration.
During her stay, Prof. Gatt delivered a set of intensive drama workshops and lectures, attended by both arts students and staff from the Department of Art Education. Among the highlights was her immersive workshop titled "Weaving Connections through Drama," where she explored themes of separation, loss, and resilience through the medium of drama.
Prof. Gatt also delivered a lecture where she elaborated on the role of the arts within the degrees offered by her department, namely Arts, Open Communities, and Adult Education, as well as within the Faculty as a whole. The lecture was attended by students and staff including the head of department, Prof. Marie Fulková, and the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr Antonín Jančařík.
Following this, Prof. Gatt participated in a productive staff meeting with the Department of Art Education, where she actively engaged in discussions regarding future collaboration and exchange opportunities.
