University of Malta academic, Dr Sandro Debono has been invited to sit on this year’s - The Best in Heritage - Projects of Influence - International Jury Committee celebrating the best of the best awardees in various international awards across the globe.
The Best in Heritage project is a global programme featuring award-winning museum, heritage and conservation projects. It is held in partnership with Europa Nostra with the support of Creative Europe Programme under the distinguished patronage of ICOM - the International Council of Museums.
The other jury members are:
- Cheeyun Lilian Kwon (Executive Board Secretary, ICOM-ICTOP; Professor of Arts & Cultural Management at Hongik University, Seoul, KOREA);
- Russell Briggs, (Chief Experience Officer, Australian Museum, AUSTRALIA);
- Kate Seymour (Chair, ICOM-CC, FRANCE - THE NETHERLANDS),
- Katey Goodwin (Deputy Director, Art UK, UNITED KINGDOM) and
- Museologist, Gabriela da Rocha (PORTUGAL).
Dr Debono is a visiting Senior Lecturer and course co-coordinator Erasmus Mundus international Masters in Heritage and Museum Education at the Department of Arts, Open Communities and Adult Education within the Faculty of Education
