The University Maritime Platform (UMP) is pleased to announce the launch of a new outreach campaign aimed at showcasing the diverse work of its committee members. Over the course of ten weeks, the campaign will feature ten brief video capsules. Each video highlights the contributions of individual UMP members to marine and maritime education and research to bridge gaps and promote urgently needed sustainable solutions.
Capturing the essence of UMP's mission and its various action groups, these videos provide an informative journey through the multifaceted domains of marine and maritime fields that the UMP committee wishes to promote, strengthening awareness of the expanding requirements in sustainable development of these fields’ applications in industry and future economies.
Each interview is an invitation to explore the complexities and challenges of the marine and maritime environment. The capsules have been thoughtfully produced by UM's Marketing, Communications & Alumni Office, combining expert interviews with dynamic visual storytelling to highlight the impactful work of the UMP for the University of Malta and beyond, while also fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the marine and maritime world.
The video capsules will be available on the University of Malta's official social media channels – Facebook and LinkedIn - inviting viewers to witness the innovative work of UMP's researchers and educators paving the way to support National and regional needs.

Membership to University Maritime Platform is open all year round to academic members of staff with a maritime and marine interest and who are willing to contribute towards the objectives of the platform.
