Prof. Norbert Bugeja’s poem ‘14:00 [Ritorn]’ has been selected by the EU National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in its Warsaw edition of the Poems in the City initiative among nineteen of the best European poems written on the thematics of change.

The objective of this project, which is taking place between 6 May and 2 June of this year, is to give the widest possible public exposure to the poetry of the European Union.

The excerpt from Prof. Bugeja’s poem, which is currently displayed in various public spaces, loca-tions and transport systems in Warsaw, was translated into the Polish by translator Zuzanna Gawron from the English bridge text translated by Irene Mangion.

Taken from Bugeja’s recent collection ‘Insa li Mhijiex Hawn’, the poem ‘14:00 [Ritorn]’ captures the rhythms of memory as it revisits physical and ethereal spaces that have undergone processes of change. Bugeja’s poetry collection has recently been published in France by Les Presses du Rèel - Al Dante, and in Arabic by Editions Arabesques — Sheen.
