Dr Ioannis Revolidis, a lecturer at the Department of Media, Communications & Technology Law within the Faculty of Laws, and a lecturer at the Centre for Distributed Ledger Technologies, was part of the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum team who authored the recently-published Report on Intellectual Property Management.
This report comes at a time when the management and protection of intellectual property has become a critical challenges for creators and business. In fact, the transformative potential of blockchain technology in revolutionising IP management was a focal point in the report.
The report highlights the significant opportunities that blockchain offers for improving the efficiency, transparency, and fairness of IP management, all while encouraging continued research, development and cross-sectoral dialogue to overcome existing challenges of these technologies.
