The Aġenzija Żgħażagħ Malta Youth Film Festival, the yearly joint collaboration between Aġenzija Żgħażagħ and the Malta Film Foundation that gives youths an opportunity to showcase their own movies, saw a group of JC students win the Public Choice Award.
Multiple awards were given throughout the ceremony of the 7th Edition to talented filmmakers who showcased their creativity and passion, namely:
- Best Script: ‘Stain’ - Zion Wheelan Gauci Cassar
- Best Direction: ‘The Ambush’ – Fabrizio Fenech
- Most Original Concept: ‘The Writer’ - Micol Canova
- Best Actor: Nadesh Camilleri in ‘Stain’
- Best Cinematography: ‘The Ambush’ – Fabrizio Fenech
- Best Film: ‘The Ambush’ – Fabrizio Fenech
- EYCA Youth Judging Panel Award: ‘Stain’ - Zion Wheelan Gauci Cassar
- Honourable Mention 1: ‘Pearls & Pomegranates’ – Maria Rizzo
- Honourable Mention 2: ‘Distracted Rhythms – Flower Dance’ – Matthew Ellis
- Honourable Mention 3: ‘Changing The World’ – Dailee Fenech
