A delegation from the University of Malta attended the SEA-EU TASK 4.4 Goes Greener meeting in Gdansk, Poland at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Gdansk on 6 and 7 June 2024.
In attendance were Prof. David Magri from the Faculty of Science (Chemistry), Mr Gabriel Spiteri and Ms Roberta Saliba from the Faculty of Education, and Ms Michelle Arraut (M.Sc. student, Education).
The meeting included an awards gala with speeches from four prize winners from Gdansk University followed by nine presentations from each of the SEA-EU universities on Local small steps towards green transformation at HEI’s: progress and results of SEA-EU universities.
Prof. David Magri contributed a seminar entitled The Sustainability Committee (C-SUM): A Progress Report outlining the achievements and challenges encountered since the committee was set up at the University of Malta in 2020. Gabriel Spiteri and Roberta Saliba presented a poster titled Green Revolution: University of Malta’s Commitment to Sustainability.
The conference included a Green workshop on sharing best practices, a poster session, a seminar on ESG reporting in Higher Education Institutions by the consultancy, Deloitte, and a conference dinner.
